Gisella Gellini
laureatasi a Firenze in architettura, è ricercatrice della cultura della luce e in particolare della Light Art, ha collaborato con il collezionista Giuseppe Panza di Biumo. Attualmente è docente del corso Luce e Colore tra Arte e Design alla Scuola del Design del Politecnico di Milano. Ha curato: nel 2009, Dan Flavin nella Collezione Panza al Museo Berardo, Lisbona e l’installazione Light Blade di Nicola Evangelisti, Villa Reale, Milano; nel 2010, la mostra collettiva Luces – Light Art from Italy e, nel 2012, JETZT Archäologische Schatten di Fabrizio Corneli, entrambe al Museo Archeologico di Francoforte. Nel 2014, con Domenico Nicolamarino, ha curato Light Art Ensemble, presso l’ex chiesa di San Carpoforo a Milano ed è stata direttrice artistica di Arezzo in Luce, con installazioni luminose di Sebastiano Romano. Nel 2015, sempre a San Carpoforo e con Domenico Nicolamarino, ha curato la collettiva LUCE4GOOD, seconda edizione di Light Art Ensemble.
Nel 2016 -2017, con Claudia Bottini e Fabio Agrifoglio, ha curato il progetto LIGHTQUAKE con la mostra itinerante Black Light Art: la luce che colora il buio. Gisella Gellini scrive per riviste ed è relatrice in seminari e workshop. www.luces.it

Gisella Gellini
holding an Architecture bachelor degree from Florence University, is a researcher in the field of light, in particular with regards to Light Art. She worked with the great collector Giuseppe Panza di Biumo. At present she is teacher of the Light and Colour between Art and Design course at Polytechnic of Milan. In 2009, she curated the Dan Flavin from Panza Collection at Berardo Museum, Lisbon and the Light Blade installation by Nicola Evangelisti, Villa Reale, Milan; in 2010, the Luces- Light Art from Italy collective exhibition and in 2012 JETZT Archäologische Schatten solo exhibition of Fabrizio Corneli, both at the Frankfurt Archaeological Museum. In 2014, together with Domenico Nicolamarino, she curated Light Art Ensemble at the former San Carpoforo Church, Milan and was the artistic director of Arezzo in Luce, urban festival with Sebastiano Romano projections of light. In 2015, again with Domenico Nicolamarino, she curated the LUCE4GOOD group exhibition, second edition of Light Art Ensemble. In 2016-2017, together with Claudia Bottini and Fabio Agrifoglio, she curated the LIGTHQUAKE event, featuring the Black Light Art: la luce che colora il buio travelling exhibition.
